About the meeting: The main objectives of the Calgary meeting are completing the report that will be submitted to the leaders of the Group of Eight at the Group of Eight summit convening at Kananaskis in June 2002, in addition to reviewing ongoing and future work. The first day of the meeting will focus on the activities of the executive teams and arrangements for presenting the special reports of the Digital Opportunity Task Force. The second day will deal with preparations for the said summit, and future priorities and initiative for the post-Kananaskis era.
Meeting Location: All sessions will be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel, on the third floor designated for conferences.

Meeting Secretariat location: The Herald Room
Delegates’ location: The “States” Room
The “States” Room is for the delegates’ use, and contains computers with internet access and printers, and is typically right next to the Meeting Secretariat.

The Hyatt Regency is located in downtown Calgary near the pedestrian trail, the Stephen Avenue Walk. Delegates can take advantage of the 24 restaurants approximately 4 buildings away. Further, the hotel itself has 2 restaurants.
