AMMAN – Under the patronage of King Abdullah the Second Bin Hussein, the activities of the Electronic Jordan conference will be launched, in addition to the associated exhibit dedicated to electronic solutions, during June 3-5. This is the first initiative of its kind that is launched by an academic institution, which in this case is the Al Ahliyya Amman University.
The conference will be convened with broad national, Arab and international participation. Its sessions will focus on two main topics; e-business and its associated electronic banking, and electronic education.
Addustour met with Mr. Mustafa Alhusseini, IT Executive Director at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International (TAGI), to shed more light on participating and TAGI’s support for the conference.
Mr. Husseini affirmed the participation of TAGI, stating that participation in the e-Jordan conference will be via various activities such as the speech of TAGI’s chairman, a speech by Mr. Salah Abu Osbeh -the executive director of Abu-Ghazaleh Cambridge IT Skills Center (AGCAITC)- on the topic of electronic training and education, and a speech for the executive director of IT on the issue of electronic trade.
As for the participation of the organization in the committees emanating from the conference, Alhusseini said that TAGI is a part of numerous committees such as the e-business committee, the electronic education committee and the prize/judging committee.
It is worth noting that the conference aims to activate the private sector in the e-government project, enhance cooperation between the private and governmental sectors on this venture while disclosing this project to the rest of the world, attempt to benefit from global expertise and provide global support for this very important project.
