AMMAN
– The Arab economist and businessman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh has called on
the Arab nation to deal seriously and firmly with the announcement by the Prime
Minister of the Zionist entity, Benjamin Netanyahu, regarding the illusion of
the so-called "Greater Israel."
Speaking
in a discussion session organized by the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum,
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that Netanyahu’s remarks were by no means accidental,
as they were preceded by statements from former US President Donald Trump
during his presidential campaign, in which Trump said that “Israel is a tiny
spot on the map, and I have always wondered how it could be expanded.”
Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh explained that: “What Netanyahu proposed is the same map of the
'Protocols of the Elders of Zion,' which I warned about twenty years ago. The
problem is that this map was ignored all those years. Today, we have no choice
but to confront the Zionist greed and ambitions, which have gained an official
Zionist reference point. A person must not run away from a problem, but has to
face and solve it.”
He
went on to say: “The Zionist gang has started implementing its scheme, where it
has occupied Palestine and attacked Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt. Therefore, it is
our duty, and the duty of the youth, to focus their efforts on this fundamental
cause. We are faced with two choices: either there will be an Arab nation, or
not. The answer, of course, is that the Arab nation will remain alive thanks to
the will of its youth.”
Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh further affirmed that willpower is not only about weapons—although
weapons are important, rather this involves different tools: public opinion,
stance, assistance, support, and learning.
On
the other hand, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed to a clear paradox revealed regarding
Netanyahu's statements: as while there was a strong Arab outcry and
condemnation, the West remained suspiciously silent. He explained that this
Western silence is linked to the fact that most of these countries are under
Zionist influence through active Zionist organizations. The Arab intellectual
called on Arab thinkers and businessmen to establish Arab intellectual
organizations in Western countries to counter Zionist groups and promote the
Arab narrative.
At
the end, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh concluded by calling for reviving Arab
nationalism in the hearts of the nation and its youth, stressing the importance
of developing an Arab national ideal that can triumph over Zionist ideology.
