HE Senator Abu Ghazaleh foresees the island to become a destination for visitors from the different countries of the world in addition to citizens and residents
ABU DHABI----- June 21, 2011------- Under the patronage and presence of HE Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, HE Senator Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) participated recently in the inauguration ceremony of Saadiyat Island as a cultural center in the UAE.
The Saadiyat Island is a world class leisure, residential, business and tourism hub designed to showcase Abu Dhabi to the world.
HE Senator Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pleasure and delight with the visit and with the architectural plans, remarkable places and rich natural environment of the Island, as well as the infrastructure, resorts and various facilities along with the Island’s cultural facilities. HE Senator Abu- Ghazaleh foresees the Island to become a destination for visitors from the 
different countries of the world in addition to citizens and residents.
It is worth mentioning that the Saadiyat Island is only 500 meters away from Abu Dhabi downtown, one hour drive from Dubai and twenty minutes from Abu Dhabi Airport linked through two bridges, each comprising 10 lanes.
The total area of Saadiyat Island is 27 square kilometers.
