RAMALLAH – The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) representative Mr. Jamal Mulhem has announced that ASCA has signed two vocational scientific agreements. The first was signed with Hebron University and the second was with the IT National Institute in Ramallah. With this, the number of agreements reached with scientific bodies and universities has reached 24.
The two agreements call for the establishment of vocational scientific agreements that will have the effect of preparing the graduates of the two universities to obtain both the Arab Certified Public Accountant (ACPA) Certificate and ASCA membership.
According to the agreements, the universities will hold the necessary training courses for those people registered as students with ASCA and prepare them for the examination atmosphere. ASCA will provide the universities with the curricula and proposed books.
On behalf of Hebron University, Dr. Samir Abu Zineid, dean of the faculty of financing and administration, signed the first agreement, and Adel Lafi, head of the IT National Institute signed the second agreement. ASCA representative in Ramallah Jamal Mulhem signed both agreements on ASCA’s behalf.
It is worth noting that starting next year, the examination will be held in accordance with the relevant international requirement; ASCA has implemented the international curriculum that was adopted by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). With this, it has become the first vocational body in the world that applies the international curriculum.
The examination centers will be part of 22 exam centers in the Arab region, including Alazhar University in Gaza, Alnajah National University in Nablus and the Arab American University in Jenin.
