Law firm Mills & Reeve has advised Cambridge International Examinations, a department of the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, on a historic agreement in the field of Arab education.
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has joined forces with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh International (TAGI) to launch an Arab version of the Cambridge Skills Award in Information Technology, in an unprecedented step towards building a pan-Arab knowledge society.
The initiative is designed to narrow the Information Technology divide between the Arab region and the world's developed countries.
Online support for the Arab version of the Cambridge Skills Award will be provided via a third party in the agreement - the Arab Knowledge Management Society.
Mills & Reeve partner Glynne Stanfield said, 'We hope that this exciting joint venture will help the teaching and learning of Information Technology throughout the Arab world.'
