Batelco-Jordan has announced the signing of two new contracts for Internet connection with two pioneering companies at both the Jordanian and regional level. These companies are; Abu-Ghazaleh Consulting Co. (AGCON) and Arabia Online, which is specialized in providing Internet services for Arab users.
The new agreements will provide the two companies with a direct connection to the Internet at an unprecedented speed in Jordan, which is one million bit/sec for Talal Abu-Ghazaleh & Co. International (TAGI) and 512,000 bit/sec for Arabia Online.
With the signing of the partnership contracts to provide integrated solutions to local and global linking with national and international high-level institutions of different specializations. Batelco-Jordan stressed its distinguished status in the Jordanian market and its exclusivity in providing high-speed and reliable Internet connections that enables large companies to rapidly and safely communicate with their branches in Jordan, the Arab nation and the world.
On the signing of the new contracts, Mr. Marwan Joma’a, Batelco-Jordan's Executive Director, commented : “We are proud that we are now able to provide ambitious Jordanian and regional companies with linkage solutions that are on an international compatible level of speed, quality and safety. These solutions will enable Jordanian and Arab companies to compete on the regional and international level. "
According to the arrangements of the deals, the total investment of Batelco-Middle East in Batelco-Jordan is 51% of the total shares, compared to 49% which is the share of the Jordanian companies (NETS) and (FTG).
The purpose of establishing the new Jordanian-Bahraini company was the gathering of capabilities, standardizing expertise and introducing advanced technologies to the Jordanian market to create new competitive spirit in the Internet sector.
