AMMAN
– HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global
Digital (TAG.GD), has participated in the annual ACT Alliance for the Middle
East and North Africa (MENA) Forum Meeting.
During
the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh shared his inspiring journey of overcoming all
challenges and hardships, starting from being displaced from his homeland as a
ten-year-old refugee in 1948, to becoming years later the founder of one of the
world’s largest organizations, in addition to holding leadership roles across
prominent international and UN organizations.
In
his remarks that captured the participants' attention and interest, Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh emphasized that the world is experiencing the early signals of a
potential ‘Third World War’, manifested in the ongoing tech war and the
economic conflict between the two superpowers; China and the United States,
highlighting the key role Taiwan plays in such unfolding conflict.
In
this context, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that knowledge and innovation are
the key pillars of the future, calling for the empowerment of Arab societies by
fostering the culture of ‘digital citizenship’ and encouraging self-reliance in
generating knowledge and technology, instead of relying on external sources.
He
went on to state that education should serve as an effective tool for survival
and excellence, not just traditional rote memorization. He advocated for a
digital educational revolution that simultaneously enhances practical
competencies and intellectual skills.
In
a message to the Arab world, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh called for greater unity and the
development of human and creative potentials, emphasizing that knowledge,
innovation, and justice are the keys to shaping a brighter future, especially
for the Arab region and humanity alike. He stressed the need to shift today’s
challenges into genuine opportunities within an increasingly connected digital
landscape.
He
also praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, appreciating their
unwavering attachment to their land and Cause, and highlighting their
remarkable creativity and innovation despite the challenges and difficulties
they face.
Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh further expressed his concern over the withdrawing role of
international organizations in resolving conflicts and upholding justice for
nations and peoples. He affirmed that true justice is the cornerstone of
sustainable peace, asserting that any peace imposed without justice is
unsustainable.
The
meeting featured in-depth discussions on Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s remarks, especially
justice, digital education, and achieving self-sufficiency. Participants also
addressed updates on the Palestinian Cause and the world’s double standards in
dealing with Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people. The Forum further
discussed social challenges amid digital transformations, where Dr.
Abu-Ghazaleh reiterated that the solution lies in enlightened leadership and a
strong sense of individual responsibility.
It is worth noting that the ACT MENA Regional
Forum serves as a humanitarian platform rooted in faith values, bringing
together representatives from Arab and European countries to address the
region’s most pressing challenges and opportunities
