At the 8th Medical Tourism Conference under Royal Patronage

AMMAN - Deputizing for His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, Minister of Health Prof. Feras Hawari has inaugurated the Eighth Medical Tourism Conference, that was organized by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD) in cooperation with the Pioneers Road Company, in the presence of a large number of participants including  experts and specialists in medicine and medical tourism.

In his remarks, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, TAG.GD founder and chairman, emphasized the importance of leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop the healthcare sector, pointing out that technology stands as the cornerstone for the future of medicine worldwide.

He further stressed the need to promote Jordan as a top leading destination for medical tourism both regionally and globally, highlighting the importance of the Dead Sea as one of the world’s most prominent sites for medical tourism due to its unique natural and therapeutic characteristics. He also urged the concerned authorities to issue a national guide detailing the medical services available throughout the Kingdom.

For his part, Prof. Hawari stated that the royal patronage of the conference underscores His Majesty’s  keenness in strengthening Jordan’s position and role in medical tourism. He noted that the government is actively working on adopting the National Medical Tourism Strategy (2025–2027) as part of its efforts to develop this vital sector.

Meanwhile, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, HE Ms. Lina Annab, has also said that Jordan is witnessing a diversification in tourism trends, affirming that medical tourism is a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s rich historical heritage. She further noted that Jordan’s medical tourism is based on an integrated combination of natural resources, healthcare services, and a healthy lifestyle.

Additionally, Pioneers Road CEO, Mr. Ayman Arikat, stated that Jordan’s tourism sector is distinguished by unique advantages, which include mineral waters and therapeutic mud, in addition to advanced medical infrastructure and highly qualified healthcare professionals.

It is worth mentioning that the two-day Conference featured specialized workshops aimed at formulating recommendations to enhance Jordan’s standing as a regional and global hub for medical tourism.
