AMMAN – The well-known Arab economist and businessman, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global Digital (TAG.GD), has shared his insights on several pressing issues our region is currently facing, pointing out that a World War III will reshape the new World Order, with profound implications on the Middle East.
In his interview at the “Tawator Aali (in English: High Tension)” program, aired on Al Mashhad TV with the Lebanese TV Host and Presenter  Tony Khalife, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh confirmed that World War III has effectively started with the Russia–Ukraine war; saying that “although the two warring sides represent the greatest powers in the world, yet the real global conflict is between China and the United States; a rivalry centered on global dominance.”
He further clarified that “ World War III differs significantly from the first and second World wars. There will be no traditional military invasions, but  new form of wars; most significantly an economic war. Actually the current sanctions are considered a key component of a fierce battle.”
Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said that the new World Order will start to take shape after 2027, when the China-US conflict is expected to reach its peak and becomes inevitable, especially since China has declared its intention to formally annex Taiwan and to place it under its sovereignty by that year. The United States, however, will not accept this step, which means that the war will shift from Ukraine and the Middle East to the South China Sea, where the future of the world, including that of the Middle East, will be determined.
Concerning the conflict between Iran and Israel, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh asserted that it was part of an American strategy to dominate the region, affirming, that “the Zionist entity is simply a tool of the US administration; a means through which the US seeks control over this region.”
Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that Iran’s power in the region remains reasonably moderate, pointing out that “each great country has its own influence on various other countries, and that Iran’s presence in the Arab region is rooted in its declared principled stance in supporting the termination of the Israeli occupation.” He expressed his disapproval of all theories about Iran or Turkey being ‘regional threats’, reiterating that “the only real threat to the region and its countries is the continued presence of the Zionist occupation.”
Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh has firmly dismissed any claims about the demise of Hezbollah in Lebanon, affirming that “Hezbollah is a movement and an idea that cannot be eliminated; neither by assassinating its leaders, nor by destroying its infrastructure, nor by disarmament, just as is the case with Hamas in Palestine.”
He firmly announced that the future of Palestine lies in its liberation from the Zionist occupation, reiterating that “Ideologies cannot be defeated. In Gaza, for example, the Zionist occupation is fighting a deeply rooted idea that is why it is unable to achieve any of its war objectives, despite substantial Western support”.
On the Syrian situation, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his optimism about Syria’s future, affirming his full support for any decision made by the Syrian people. He also urged Syrians and Arabs to stand against all American and Zionist narratives that seek to undermine Syria’s security and stability.
