The agreement aims to develop the financial and administrative work systems at the PBA according to the latest technology and based on studying the current situation
GAZA STRIP-----July 30, 2012----The Palestinian Bar Association (PBA) and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) signed an agreement to develop and institutionalize the work system at the Association part of the UNDP funded project "Lawyers for the Rule of Law”.
The agreement signed by Deputy President of the PBA Salameh Bseiso and TAG-Org Executive Director in Gaza Zuhair Nazer aims to develop the financial and administrative work systems at the PBA according to the latest technology and based on studying the current situation.
A statement released by the Association stated that the agreement is the first phase towards the instutionalization of the PBA which will be based on technically linking the financial and administrative work systems, e-archiving and introducing IT systems at the Association’s offices.
At the end of the first phase of examination and evaluation, TAG-Org will prepare a comprehensive professional report that clarifies weakness and strength areas, progress made, lists of requirements. The report will be submitted to the Association’s Board to be endorsed in order to start the implementation of the second phase which includes the purchase of equipments, the implementation of the administrative and financial systems in addition to the training of the staff on the utilization of the new system.
It’s worth mentioning that the three other tracks in the projects mainly the legal assistance and the provision of the free of charge legal services to vulnerable classes; community reconciliation and enhancement of national fabric in addition to the Association’s training system development track.
